I know I’ve said it before but man did this weekend feel short. I had a half-day on Friday of which Adam took off as well. I had to be home at 1pm to have a phone interview for NEEDS Inc, the sister company of Natur-Tyme. Both are holistic companies and my sister Anita has been working for Natur-Tyme for 5 years now. It was her first job ever and they have treated her very well. I am looking to switch because I am much more interested in organic food and naturopathy than I am piping and valves.
I think the phone interview went well. He called at 1:04pm and my heart was racing for those 4 minutes. We chatted a bit back and forth. I told him a lot about me and my goals and what I could bring to him. Why he needed me and no other person for his team. The whole call was about 40 minutes and at the end he said to leave him with an impression of me as a person and as an employee that he would remember all weekend. It took everything I had to not say, “I has boobies”. Instead I babbled on about how I’m likable, easy going, a diligent worker, intelligent, endearing, and gosh darn it a lot of people like me.
It was word vomit, everywhere.
After my interview my adrenaline was so high that I just completely decompressed into Reynolds’ arms. I just sighed and I felt foolish. I get such horrible interview nerves. I don’t think I would make a good public speaker.
As a treat we went downtown to Syracuse Suds for lunch to get a couple tasty sandwiches and look for a wallet for me. It started to rain so we headed back to my car. We couldn’t drive it away because it had a parking boot on it!!! I was annoyed because I KNOW I’ve paid all my tickets for the last few years because there had only been two! We called the 800# and low and behold I have two parking tickets from 3/9/04! I didn’t even know I had them! Or I would have paid them when I paid the others!! I was pissed, soaked and $310 later I was bootless and broke.
We then headed to Middle Ages brewery to do some quality beer tasting. Met Mikey and Trisha over there. Hung out for a little while and left with two imperial pint glasses and a growler of Swallow Wit. Headed out to pick up Maddox and took him to toysrus to play for a while. After Maddox went to bed I headed over to the mall with Rachel and Longergan hung out with Reynolds.
Saturday morning we took Maddox to the MOST and the remainder of Saturday consists of things better left unsaid as well as a LOT of trips to the park.
Sunday was a trip to the zoo with Noni and a trip to Grammy’s house to swim. Sunday night is game night so Reynolds went to James’ house to play board games. I stayed home to wallow, watch movies and drink beer.
I work up today feeling better and I’m excited about my doctor appointment Wednesday. I wish I could remove a lot of this weekend but I can’t. Things will be fine soon.
